MARRAKECH - IMLIL VALLEY
Visiting the Imlil valley is the perfect counterpoint to a stay in Marrakech, since only an hour from Marrakech you have the opportunity to get to know a rural and autochthonous world populated mainly by Berber families that inhabit the Moroccan High Atlas.
Despite its proximity to Marrakech, the Imlil valley is an ideal place to find peace and escape from the bustle of Marrakech.
The beautiful Imlil Valley, located in the Atlas mountains in the Toubkal massif. It is a perfect place to get in touch with nature and the Berber population of this area of Morocco.
The maximum splendor of the valley occurs in the months of February to April, when cherry and almond trees bloom and the mountain rivers descend with fury, due to the melting of the snow accumulated during the winter.
We will arrive at the small village of Tahanaout that gathers twice a week (Tuesday and Saturday) the farmers of the region for the great souk. Then we come to Asni: the country of the amethyst (macrocrystalline) and the green valley of Ouirgane which is also called The Valley of Happiness.
